The Moroccan surf season 2024, has officially kicked off! We’ve been having some excellent waves already in October, Anchor Point is still warming up and the Surf Taghazout Expo is just around the corner on October 24th 2024. Surf camp jeeps stacked high of surfboards, local cafes full of chilled out surfers, some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world, golden light filling our souls full of Vitamin D!
There’s a fascinating and very clear switch that happens from the end of August to September, when we see the Moroccan holiday makers disappear and almost instantly replaced by flocks of European surf enthusiasts, travellers and skaters coming to town.
Only a few hours flight from Europe, London and Ireland. Morocco is one of the most special, exotic, exciting travel locations on the doorstep of Europe. The warmth, fun and friendliness of the locals is unparalleled. If you like a character, and you haven’t been, you’ll love the Moroccans. Our surf camp is located in the convenient spot of Tamanza, Awrir, Agadir, 15 minutes before Taghazout, a 5 minute walk from several local surf beaches and overlooking the rustic local village of Awrir. If you’re a traveller, not a tourist, you’ll love staying with us.
Our accommodation can host groups of up to 35 surfers, we also love to host individuals, families and smaller groups of surfers. We’ve got 10 years of experience in leading large groups all around Morocco, from the Sahara Desert to the unmissable UNESCO World Heritage Site of the medina and port of Essaouira, to the hustle and bustle of mystical Marrakech.

One of the favourite surf spots amongst locals is near our us, known as Banana beach, next to Devil’s Rock. Great for a sunset surf session and always a social beach, where you can make new friends, play football, beach tennis and relax between surf sessions.
